This is my girlfriend's mom's favorite Korean Chinese restaurant, and although I haven't had a whole lot of experience with Korean Chinese dishes......as I prefer the more traditional Chinese places that I'm used to......I thought, why not give it a try.
I have tried a couple of other Korean Chinese restaurants in the last year or two, and thought the food takes a bit of getting used to.....it looks like Chinese food, but some dishes just looked and tasted a bit strange to me.....not the bad kind of strange.....just flavors I'd never tasted before with any other style of Chinese cooking. Unfortunately, as a lifelong diner of all kinds of authentic (and Americanized) Chinese food, I will always be comparing their styles of cooking and tastes.
I must say that I really enjoy the usual dishes we order of ChaChiang Mein and the fried chicken (with various sauces), but with a bit of a preference twist. I'm not a huge fan of heavy sauced dishes, so will always order the ChaChiang mein separated from the sauce, which we would usually make a request for vegetarian. We would then prepare the noodles at the table according to our sauce quantity preference. I must admit that their ChaChiang Mein was very good....not too strong in flavor.....a huge portion of noodles and ingredient-filled sauce......and oh so filling! Second, we ordered the Fried Chicken with Red Chili......we would normally order the fried chicken separate from the sauce, but this time we just ordered it as-is. Unfortunately, I was not too excited about this dish.....the flavor was a bit flat (my girlfriend thought it was salty), the starchy sauce had soaked into what was once the chicken's crispy fried batter coating, and it all just turned into a soggy mushy mess.....not too appetizing, imho, but at least it was hot and fresh. We also ordered, at the recommendation of the server, the mixed vegetables with mushrooms. It was ok.....nothing exciting and very normal tasting.......kind of a bit salty.
Not being satisfied with the fried chicken with red chilli, we decided to order the Fried Chicken with Hot Garlic Sauce, and this time, ordered the sauce separate from the fried chicken, so that we could dip our still crispy chicken nuggets whilst controlling the amount of sauce to suit our individual taste.....it was WAAAAAAAY BETTER! The crispy batter on the chicken pieces stayed crispy, hot, and went great with just a small dip of the hot garlic sauce......or any other of the sauces we ordered.....I particularly enjoyed them dipped in the ChaChiang mein sauce.....Yum!
My girlfriend's family ordered some other dishes which I didn't get to try.....some spicy, soupy, noodle dishes....but that was ok, I still mostly enjoyed what I got to try and was seriously stuffed by the end of it all.
Service seemed friendly enough as I left everything to my girlfriend and her family to order, since I don't speak Korean. Overall, a pretty good and decent place for Korean Chinese food, if you happen to be in the area. -

Eh.
Just wasn't impressed but this place ain't bad. I've had so much Chinese food from Chinese restaurants its embarrassing. I had this place for the first time last Saturday. Me and one other person decided to treat ourselves to a good dinner. When we arrived around 5:30pm there wasn't many people dining.
We got seated right away. We ended up ordering their "Strang" Beans, Fried Tofu, and Sweet and Sour Chicken. We order green beans at a lot of other Chinese places and these weren't as good in comparison. It wasn't crispy outside and the texture was just not great. The flavoring was good though and I liked that it had a lot of spicy chili in it. Most of the dishes had sauces that were too starchy. For example, the Sweet and Sour chicken's sauce was extra thick. They were fried but kinda stale and we didn't care for batter. We were expecting more an orange chicken dish but it wasn't like that which is fine, but it wasn't amazing. The fried tofu was probably my favorite dish there. It came with a sauce which was aright. At the end of our meal they gave us complementary orange slices as dessert.
The portions were family style and pretty large. Dishes normally come with a pot of rice. The house complementary kimchi was also really good and probably the best thing there. The service was alright. We got a sauce dish was food in it. We asked them to bring another one but they just took the dirty one and never gave us a new one. They probably forgot. Our food did come out fast and they were really nice. When we took the rest of the food home they gave us more rice as well. The restaurant itself is large. It's divided into different rooms. Definitely better for groups. I do want to come back and try their lunch options. -

Came here for a family dinner, so was able to try out a wide variety of dishes. I agree with many of the other reviews that the service may not be top notch, but they brought us our food timely and was prompt with our requests, so I can't complain too much.
For the food, we ordered the black bean noodle, Yang Jang Pi, Shrimp in Lobster sauce, fried chicken, and jjamppong.
Black Bean Noodle: Pretty good. The noodles were chewy and fresh, and the black bean sauce was flavorful. Greasy, but that's to be expected from a bowl
Yang Jang Pi: This was OK...it's just a variety of vegetables with some egg noodles, with pieces of beef and shrimp thats flavored with soy sauce. It will feed a large group and is a good veggie dish for large groups, but otherwise would not order it again
Shrimp in Lobster Sauce: I'm not a huge seafood person, but this was very tasty! There was a generous amount of shrimp, scallops, and abalone along with boy choy, onions, and various mushrooms. The lobster sauce was creamy and was a nice break from all the soy-heavy dishes
Fried Chicken: Pretty good, and complimented the other dishes well. The chicken pieces were a good size and the taste was great.
Jjamppong: Also a solid dish, would order again if I was in the area. The broth was very tasty.
Other dishes that I did not try but that we got were the mapo tofu, chinese broccoli, assorted cooked vegetables, and mushrooms in oyster sauce, which my parents said were solid, and that they liked their dishes. -

I didn't like any of the dishes I ordered. They needed more seasonings. Is this restaurant specialized in fried dishes mixed in sauce or something? Most of the dishes are covered in batter and mixed in sauce. A bit boring

Ordered beef chow mein, salt & pepper pork chop and spicy garlic chicken with sauce on the side. Let's start with the chow mein. It's very plain--had to add soy sauce to it. Salt & pepper pork chop were fatty and a bit spicy. I came across a whole piece of fat. Spicy garlic chicken were ok but more sweet then spicy and no garlic whatsoever. So far, all 3 dishes didn't stand out for me to cone back to try other dishes.
